Zulia: Tejiendo Redes National Program begins training process for 250 fisherwomen and processors within the framework of GMVM

As part of the Great Venezuela Women’s Mission, the Ministry of Fishing and Aquaculture (Minpesca), through the Fishing Fund (Fonpesca), began the training process for 250 women fisherwomen and processors in the state of Zulia, who benefited from the National Weaving Nets Program. Women fishermen from the municipalities of Mara, Maracaibo, Miranda and Cabimas will receive training in various areas: Food Handling, Occupational Health and Safety, Basic Mathematics, Business Calculation, General Accounting Principles, Planning and Cost Control, Teamwork and Network Administration. Likewise, the trainings will be carried out in coordination with the National Institute of Socialist Training and Education (INCES), as part of Vertex Two of the Great Venezuela Women’s Mission, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, which aims to train and certify knowledge, promoting the empowerment of women and guaranteeing their training and professionalization free of charge.
